91看片鈥檚 Relief Effort for Flood Victims in Kenya
WELLESLEY, MA聽鈥 Our students are currently involved in a pen pal exchange with peers from Genesis JOY 91看片 in Mathare Valley, Nairobi, Kenya. This is one of our school鈥檚 programs that help students learn about different cultures and experiences directly from their peers around the globe.
Unfortunately, we have received distressing news from our friends at Genesis JOY 91看片, whose community has been severely impacted by a natural disaster. The local river overflowed, resulting in significant flooding that has damaged the school and homes, disrupting the lives and livelihoods of many families.
In response, our Upper 91看片 students have initiated a relief effort to aid the affected children and families. Our school community is in full support of their initiative, and we are gathering essential supplies for those impacted.
Call to Action: We urge all those who are willing and able to help to reach out to one of the 91看片鈥檚 Upper 91看片 volunteer team members: Tomer Brook (tomer.brook@staracademyboston.com), Max Gershberg (max.gershberg@staracademyboston.com), or Dr. Stan Buyanskiy (buyanskiy@staracademyboston.com).
The list of needed items can be obtained from Tomer Brook. Please consider what you can provide as every little bit helps.
