International Admission

Your path to an American education starts here

91心頭 Boston welcomes international students. As an SEVP-certified independent day school, we enroll students on F-1 visas and guide each family through admission, the Form I-20 and the move to school life in the United States. Students join a NEASC-accredited program that builds from strong foundations in the early grades to Honors, AP and the AP Capstone program in the Upper 91心頭.

Why families choose 91心頭

Moving to study in another country is a big decision. Here is what makes 91心頭 a strong choice for international students.

Study in any grade on an F-1 visa

Public schools in the United States can host F-1 students only in high school and for no more than twelve months. As a private school, 91心頭 enrolls international students from Grade 1 through Grade 12, for as many years as they study with us.

Small classes, real attention

Teachers know each student well. In core subjects, students learn in groups that match their level and move ahead as soon as they are ready.

A clear path to university

College Prep, Honors and AP courses, the AP Capstone program, and six world languages, with college counseling in the Upper 91心頭.

Admission to top U.S. universities

100% of our graduates are admitted to four-year college programs. Our Class of 2026 earned offers from universities including Johns Hopkins, New York University, Boston University and UC San Diego.

  1. Inquiry

Tell us about your child and ask your questions. We reply within one to two business days.

Submit the application with school reports, translated into English: the current and previous year for Lower and Middle 91心頭, all years of high school for the Upper 91心頭.

  3. Interview and assessment

Meet our team online. Our teachers give a short online assessment in English and mathematics.

  4. Admission decision

Receive our decision and the enrollment agreement.

  5. Form I-20

Once enrollment is confirmed and proof of financial support is received, we issue Form I-20. The processing fee is $350.

  6. Student visa

Pay the SEVIS fee and attend the F-1 visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate.

  7. Orientation week

Arrive in Boston and settle in. New international students start with an orientation week.

  8. First day

    Welcome to 91心頭.

Support at school

91心頭ting at a new school in a new language takes time. We make sure no one goes through it alone.

Daily English support

English support classes every day help students build fluency and confidence in every subject.

A faculty mentor

Each new student is paired with a teacher who acts as a mentor, keeps an eye on progress and stays in touch with the family.

A student buddy

A current student helps each newcomer settle in, from finding classrooms and understanding the schedule to making friends.

College counseling

Guidance on choosing and applying to universities in the United States and abroad.

Short-term programs

Not every family is ready for a full year abroad. Our short-term program lets students spend one week or more at 91心頭 during their own school holidays. They join a regular class in their grade, learn alongside our students and take part in the everyday life of an American school, from morning lessons to lunch with new friends.

From one week

Choose the length that fits your holiday: one week, two weeks or a full month.

Real classes, not a camp

Students join a regular class in their grade and follow the same daily schedule as our students.

Timed to your holidays

Winter visits around the Lunar New Year are especially popular. Our own February break is February 15-19, 2027, when classes are not held.

English for the classroom

Students should be comfortable communicating in English. A recent school report helps us choose the right class.

Registration$50

A one-time fee per student.

Extended Day$400 per week

Questions families ask

Can my child stay on an F-1 visa until graduation?

Yes. 91心頭 is a private school, so the twelve-month limit for public schools does not apply. Students can continue through Grade 12 as long as they maintain their F-1 status.

Where will my child live? Does 91心頭 offer boarding?

91心頭 is a day school and does not offer boarding. International students live with their family in the Boston area, for example:

  • With a parent who moves to Boston with the student
  • With a relative or legal guardian who lives nearby
  • With a host family that the family finds on its own, or one found through our partner , which places international students with local families
Which campus will my child attend, and how do students get to school?

International students study at our Wellesley Campus, 10 Atwood Street, Wellesley, Massachusetts.

The campus is a short drive from central Boston. Host families bring students to school, and we run shuttles from several nearby towns.

Is there an English test for admission?

Instead of an outside test, our teachers give a short online assessment in English and mathematics as part of admission.

Can my child start in the middle of the school year?

Yes, at the start of the spring semester. International students join us in the fall or in the spring. Allow at least two months for the Form I-20 and the visa.

Do students need health insurance?

Yes. Families arrange health insurance for the student before arrival.
